Provisions under the NTEP for the Nodal DR-TB Centre

The various provisions under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) for Nodal Drug-resistant Tuberculosis Centre (NDR-TBC) ​are:​

Human Resource​

NTEP provides remuneration to Senior Medical Officers (SMO), Statistical Assistants (SA) and counsellors, which may be made available for the NDR-TBC once it is approved in the Program Implementation Plans (PIP).

Capacity Building​

NTEP arranges training on the Programmatic Management of Drug-resistant Tuberculosis (PMDT) guidelines for concerned staff of the Drug-resistant TB (DR-TB) centre and committee members.

Logistics Arrangement​

NTEP ensures the availability of logistics like drugs,12 lead automated Electrocardiogram (ECG) machines, recording and reporting formats as per the specifications given.

Financial Support​

Financial support is also provided according to NTEP financial norms for the maintenance of the DR-TB centre.
