Monitoring STDC performance

STDCs need to prepare annual plans according to the needs of the state and in concurrence with the STC, and CTD. Their performance must be monitored on the basis of this plan at both the state and central level.  National institutes to support CTD in monitoring the performances of STDCs on a monthly basis.  All supervisory visits from center including visits by National Institutes, Joint Supportive supervision to visit STDCs and review their performances. CTD to review the performances of STDCs on a quarterly basis. 

Key performance indicators for reviewing the performance of STDCs are

1. Number of trainings conducted by STDCs against planned

2. Number of feedbacks issued to districts by STDCs based on routine program monitoring (Minimum Desirable: one per district per month)

3. Number of supportive supervisory visits to district by STDCs (Minimum Desirable: Two per month)

4. Number of programmatic reviews with district facilitated by STDCs (Minimum Desirable: one per month)

5. Number of Operations Research declared completed by STDCs during a particular period (Minimum Desirable: 4 per year)
