When to suspect peritoneal TB (presumptive peritoneal TB<\/strong><\/span>)?
\nThe following present for weeks to months:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Symptoms: <\/span><\/strong>Abdominal distension (most common), abdominal pain with constitutional symptoms like fever, weight loss (maybe seen), loss of appetite<\/p>\n\t<\/li>\n\t
\n\t
Signs (GPE):<\/strong> Conjunctival pallor, poor nutrition at times, icterus or peripheral lymphadenopathy (dissemination)<\/p>\n\t<\/li>\n\t
\n\t
Signs (per abdomen):<\/strong> Ascites (most common), tenderness at times, rarely hepato\/splenomegaly or localised fullness\/lumpiness (doughy abdomen)<\/p>\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
