The recommended dose of Bedaquiline (Bdq) for the treatment of Multidrug-resistant (DR)/ Rifampicin-resistant (RR) - TB in adults is:
- Weeks 1 – 2: 400 mg (4 tablets of 100 mg) given orally, once daily
- Weeks 3 – 24: 200 mg (2 tablets of 100 mg) three times per week, for a total dose of 600 mg per week
The dosage of Bdq would apply to all weight bands while the dosage of other drugs in the Optimal Background Regimen (OBR) would be as per the weight bands in accordance with the programmatic management of drug-resistant TB (PMDT) guidelines.

Duration of Bedaquiline
- Bdq is to be used for a period of 24 weeks.
- It may be used on a case-by-case basis for durations longer than 24 weeks when treatment options are limited.
Bdq and Delamanid (Dlm) can be used together in special situations. The doses of paediatric TB cases will be different as per the guidelines for PMDT in India, 2021.
