Baseline Second-line Drug-susceptibility Testing

Baseline Second-line Drug-susceptibility Test (SL-DST) means to offer (DST) for Fluoroquinolones (FQ) once Rifampicin (R) and/or Isoniazid (Inh) resistance is diagnosed.

• Access to baseline second-line DST using Second Line - Line Probe Assay (SL-LPA) or culture and DST is available under National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP).
• Additional DST technologies in the development pipeline, including Xpert XDR cartridges for Cartridge-based Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (CBNAAT), will be made available as they are endorsed for use by the World Health Organization/ Government of India.
