Key features:
- In vitro diagnostic instrument designed and optimized for the rapid detection of mycobacteria from clinical specimens:
- Mycobacteria Growth Indicator Tube (MGIT) consists of a liquid broth medium for recovery and faster growth of mycobacteria
- Unattended testing of cultures through non-invasive, non-radiometric, fluorescent technology
- Available in a high volume, 3-drawer configuration capable of testing a total of 960 tubes simultaneously (BACTEC MGIT 960)
- Immediate notification of positives through a drawer indicator lamp, display on the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screen, and an audible alarm (if enabled)
- Modular in design, with user interface, control electronics, power distribution, and incubation electronics modules
- Containment of liquid within the drawer from tube breaks or spills
