Beneficiaries largely play a passive role in relation to DBT operations by providing and receiving information.
All beneficiaries of all schemes in National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP) need to be informed about the :
- Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme, including benefits of the scheme,
- Process of receiving the benefits and any registration requirement in Ni-kshay for DBT.
- How to monitor the process of benefit payment through Ni-kshay, or the TB Arogya Saathi app and that they will also be able to raise a request to the DTO, for changing bank account details if required.
Following this, to receive the benefits the eligible beneficiary needs to submit the following documents to the concerned Peripheral Health Institute (PHI) staff:
- Valid bank account documents - Passbook/ bank statement/ canceled cheque (whichever is available). Bank account needs to belong to the beneficiary. In cases where the beneficiary does not have a bank account or in case of minors, the bank account of a family member may be used.
- Written consent/ authorization from the beneficiary (and the bank account holder in case they are different)
- Aadhar Card (Beneficiary will not be denied benefit in the absence of an Aadhaar card)
