Innovations under the Nikshay Mitra Model
Various States/UTs across the nation has developed their own unique models of innovations under PMTBMBA.
Models of delivery of Support
Model 1- DTO-Mart-Donor-Patient
DTO will share the list of consented patients to Mart and Donor. Mart will prepare customized food basket and do the doorstep delivery. Donor will provide monitory support to the identified Mart under CSR.
Model 2- DTO-Agency-Donor-Patient
DTO will share the list of consented patients to identified Agency. Agency will purchase and prepare customized food basket and do the doorstep delivery. Donor will provide monitory support to the identified Agency under CSR.
Model 3- DTO-Donor-Patient
DTO will share the list of consented patients to Donor. Donor will purchase and prepare customized food basket and do the doorstep delivery or delivery to Patient’s HWC.
Model 4- DTO-Collector(DM)CSR Fund-Donor
DTO will share the list of consented patients to Mart. Mart will prepare customized food basket and do the doorstep delivery. Donor will provide monitory support to the collector CSR Fund. Role of Collector (DM) CSR Fund will be Collection and rational utilization of fund.
Involvement of State Government Departments under PMTBMBA
Delhi was one of the first States to involve State government departments in PMTBMBA. Initially, the Delhi State Industries and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) donated Rs 1 crore thereby adopting 2060 patients. The procurement and distribution were entrusted to Delhi State Civil Supplies Corporation (DSCSC), which volunteered to carry out the whole implementation on a No-Profit-No Loss basis.
Creation of Dedicated Bank account to accept Donation
Delhi State Civil Supplies Corporation (DSCSC) created a dedicated bank account on their official website to enable government employees as well as general public to donate money under PMTBMBA. The website had embedded the link for registration of Ni-kshay Mitra on Ni-kshay 2.0 before completing the payment, thereby ensuring all Ni-kshay Mitras are registered.
Subsequently, the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), National Capital Territory Branch, came forward and adopted patients and created a dedicated bank account for donations. Using this platform, Pragati Power Corporation Ltd and Delhi Transco Limited donated a total of 9.41 crores, adopting a total of 22660 patients.
