Standard monthly Drug-resistant TB (DR-TB) Patient-wise Boxes (PWBs) are utilized for patients initiated on a longer Multi/ Extensively Drug-resistant TB (M/XDR-TB) regimen. These PWBs are constituted either at the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP) State Drug Store (SDS) level or District Drug Store Level (DDS). Child-friendly formulations of second-line anti-TB drugs are also available.

The constituents of the monthly standard patient-wise boxes (drugs, drug strength and weight-band wise medicinal formulations) are provided in the table below:

# Tab. linezolid is available in 600 mg only. When prescribed with a modified dose of 300 mg OD, the patient should be advised to divide the pill in half, consume half of the pill and throw the remaining half of the pill in the drain.  
Longer oral M/XDR-TB regimen duration: 18-20 months
