SWOT analysis of the program/indicators
Learning Objectives-
SWOT analysis (or SWOT matrix) is a strategic planning and strategic management technique used to help a person or organization identify Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats related to program implementation. It is one of the method used for situational assessment or situational analysis during NHM PIP planning at various health system levels.
It involves specifying the objectives of the program/ services, or project, identifying and classifying the internal & external factors that are favorable and unfavorable to achieving these objectives.
- Strengths: internal positive attributes of the CoP that can facilitate activities
- Weaknesses: internal attributes of the CoP that may hinder achievement of its activities and goals
- Opportunities: external conditions that may facilitate activities of the interventions or program
- Threats: external conditions that may stand in the way of program activities
