Comorbidities such as undernutrition, anemia, advanced HIV disease, uncontrolled diabetes, substance abuse, severe kidney disease, silicosis, organ transplants, malignancy, COVID-19, mental illness, bacterial infections, etc., have a significant impact on morbidity and mortality in individuals with TB and can deteriorate treatment outcomes.<\/li>\n\t

- Effective management of TB requires addressing these comorbidities early in treatment. Individuals with severe undernutrition often need inpatient care and specialized nutritional support.
