*The duration of treatment with the BPaLM regimen <\/strong>is six months (26 weeks). <\/span><\/p>\n\n

When the regimen is changed to BPaL, the regimen should be extended to a total of 39 weeks <\/strong><\/span>(counting from the start of the therapy). <\/span><\/li>\n\t
This extension is justified in case of failure to convert culture<\/span><\/strong> between months four and six while on treatment or may otherwise be based on the clinical judgment of the treating physician in case of clinical and radiological deterioration. <\/span><\/li>\n\t
Up to one month <\/strong><\/span>can be added to the overall treatment duration if there is a need to make up for the missed doses. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
