Approaches to TB Case Finding
Learning ObjectivesThe learner will be able to define case finding and outline the three approaches to case finding and diagnosis in the National Programme.
People who have been exposed to patients with infectious TB are known as TB contact persons; they constitute a key and vulnerable population for TB. Case finding investigation contributes to the early detection of TB cases, and results in identifying a significant number of additional patients.
