TB prevention including airborne infection control

Identify key social, economic, and environmental factors that contribute to increased vulnerability to tuberculosis (TB) transmission and infection.

Learners will understand the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for adult BCG vaccination under the programmatic implementation study in India, covering vaccine administration, safety protocols, logistics, and reporting requirements to ensure efficient and safe delivery of the vaccine.

The learner will be able to describe the regimens available for TPT

Discuss the role of infection prevention and control in Tuberculosis. Provide an overview of the various types of settings in which specific IPC protocols can be put in place (Laboratory, Health Facility, Household, Community). 

The learner will be able to outline TB prevention measures  including infection control measures, TB Preventive Therapy, and vaccination.
